Today’s review is of the Mountain Warehouse Collie Waterproof Shoes. When my Regatta Walking Shoes let me down after a few months, I was on the hunt for another pair of walking shoes to wear around the yard now the ground is dry. I love a bargain and have found that, in general, a decent pair of walking shoes offer better value than those aimed at the equestrian market. They are harder wearing and cheaper. More importantly for me was that Mountain Warehouse are doing a fab sale at the moment offering much more value.
The RRP of these shoes is £79.99 but I managed to get them for a bargain £29.99. The colour is called Carbon, although it is definitely more Aqua. But that is exactly what I wanted, I love anything in Teal/Turquoise. These shoes also come in Black or Grey.
Day 1 of trying these out and they fit really well. I am a slightly dodgy size of 6.5 but sometimes I fit a 6 and sometimes I need a 7! Having had Mountain Warehouse boots before and in those I was a 6 so that is what I went for.
So far I have worn then everyday since they arrived and they are proving to be super comfy. So much so, you can barely tell you are wearing them. They have proved good for running on grass. And are definitely waterproof having been road testing for a horse washing session too.
Overall on appearance and fit, I would recommend them highly. They are a reasonable price and only time will tell just how hard-wearing they are. I will post an update as time goes by.
